Ehh this was okay. I liked Jodi a lot, hated Todd, and was annoyed by Natasha’s ignorance. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it, but don’t know that I’d recommend it to anyone as a must-read.

Battle of The Silent Wife part two! I picked this one entirely because of the title and the cover. That’s rare for me, but at this point it’s no secret that I will literally read anything (see what I did there). The other book with the same title was written by Kerry Fisher, so feel free to go read my review of that gem. 
	I went into this book with trepidation because the description of the book pretty much gives away the entire story. I kept wondering whose brilliant idea it was to unleash the identity of the killer before the book even starts, but I read it anyway. Jodi, it seems, is COMPLETELY dependent on Todd, for pretty much everything, and they have a pretty lavish lifestyle. At the beginning of the book, it’s alluded that the two are married, but over a few chapters we learn that Jodi never wanted to get married. So when Todd knocks up his side-piece and decides to marry her, Jodi is left high and dry, despite the 20-some-odd-year relationship. That seems like a pretty good motive for murder. 
	The twist in this is semi-predictable, but surprising nonetheless. While I wasn’t shocked, I was surprised in a good way. Throughout this book, I did find myself rooting for one of the characters, and when that character came out on top, I cheered (inwardly, obvs, because it would just be weird if I up and cheered randomly for no reason in front of other people). Unfortunately, it still wasn’t a “great” book from my point of view. The writing is lackluster and the book meanders in a few places. I really hate meandering stories.

I cannot for the life of me understand the high ratings on this book. It is extremely wordy, monotonic, and utterly boring. There is very little dialog and no personable characters. Todd is nothing more than a creep and Jodi is a robotic stepford wife. The story from her perspective is practically unreadable as it is the same daily tasked repeated over and over again. The little dialog there is, is so irrelevant I would probably respect the author more if she just left it out all together and had that be her style for the novel; a descriptive tale of events.

I feel cheated by this book, and the recommendation to read it.
Don't waste your time.

I don't know how Jodi put up with all Tod's infidelities, but she was quite stupid and Tod, like most men, was an asshole. There was a twist in the book that I sort of saw coming, but it was a decent book altogether.
