holy crap, i can not believe that this series is over! this series got me back into reading after like a 10 year slump and this ending was so good. the mysteries and riddles in the finale felt so grand and i definitely loved this one just as much as the other books -- highly recommend this series

heartbreaking to see a series with such a good premise succumb to a boring ending... 

i think the trilogy has lost its momentum by this installment. blake and eve were editions that were completely out of place with the previous two novels. it also got to the point where i didn't really care how the riddles were solved—just that they were solved. still, i enjoyed xander's story. 

and please remind me never to read another love triangle again.

Welcome to the final installation in The Inheritance Games series, where we continue our journey with the obscenely rich Hawthorne & co. in dire need of therapy for at least a couple of decades as they conveniently plow through intricate puzzles and personal traumas with staggering speed. 

Fear not, for the series maintains its strengths throughout the whole thing. The mysteries are somehow obvious and convoluted at the same time, the family trees are as confusing as ever, and the life-changing traumas are glossed over with the ease of a chipped nail. The Hawthorne boys are still hot, broody, and completely detached from reality. Avery is still… Avery. (Honestly, this is the first time I have read a book where the side characters had absolute main character energy, and the actual main character was just a vague suggestion of a person used to tell the side characters’ more interesting stories. Strange choice, but I am with it.)

I do have some type of feelings about the ending to the great inheritance game, (and they are not good), but it is entirely irrelevant to how much I weirdly enjoyed this series. It is just ridiculously fun. 

On a final note, amidst the whole Team Jameson or Team Grayson debate, I must note that Xander is a precious baby, and undoubtedly the best Hawthorne brother. If you disagree, I am sorry to tell you that you are wrong.

It is truly a wonder that I made it to the third book with the same level of enthusiasm, confusion, and eye-rolling as when I first started. Absolute banger and/or train wreck of a series. Definitely do and/or do not recommend. Wattpad at its finest.

I was initially excited to read the conclusion of this trilogy, having enjoyed the first book. However, my enthusiasm quickly faded as I struggled through the mediocre second installment and tedious final novel. At times while reading, I found myself falling asleep due to the slow pacing and lack of engaging plot developments.

Ultimately, I felt relieved to finish this book and be done with the trilogy, though I wish my experience had lived up to the potential of that promising first novel. This story may appeal to some younger readers, but the magic was lost on me. I think it would have been better as a standalone rather than dragging out into an underwhelming conclusion over three installments

I love this book, the entire series, but at some point, I just— oh, my God. [ dramatically ]

Something that I love about this series is everything is so entertaining but it is supposed to end in the second book. I don’t see any character development here, while there are so many characters in this book. fast-faced but TOO fast. You know, when you trying to enjoy the book but you feel rushed. 

I think the only thing that this book has to offer is— something fun; joyful;pleasurable... Yeah, something like that.

so freaking good!! I started at 2am and ended at 5:30 am like I couldn’t put it down. I love how well the characters are written like it’s so prefect. The eve thing was very predictable tbh like I saw it coming and I feel so bad for Grayson. Like if there’s one person I would wanna give a hug to in the book it woukd he Grayson like UGHH this pain is underlooked. Grayson in this book reminded me a lot of Conrad like the similarities🤯. One part that I found rlly cool was that avery had mentioned that she always asked about Jamesons scar and he always told her smth different and then she knew he would tell her soon and HE DID. Like pages 228-229 BROKE MEE COMPLETELY. I wish we saw more of Max and Xander tbh like ugh they are too cute.

after reading the ending of this book, i’m so worried the author will keep writing these books. 
she is trying so hard to “surprise” you with twists and turns that the ending becomes so convoluted and confusing. 
also im so sorry but the main character is the worst and i dont find her charming or relatable or anything but annoying. i might have to close the chapter on these books.

The rich kids get up to shenanigans but make it out okay. There are many more detailed reviews. I needed closure. I got closure. I mean... It seems silly to go through all that to give it all away if by not accepting it at the very start meant that it was just going to be given away right? but I guess the journey? the friends we made along the way?

bits were confusing at times relating to how people r linked together but i loved how this book was more about the puzzle aspect. still sad it’s not grayson with her :(. the short exclusive at the end had me giggling so hard, can’t wait to read the next book!
