A difficult book to rate because its so hard to compare it to anything I've read before. Or indeed say much about it without spoilers.

Suffice to say its about a woman aged about 60 and her estrangement from her mother who is in her 80s.

It's incredibly well-written and real page-turner. Trigger warnings for self-harm and abandonment, I'd say.
