Survivors become sleuths to find a missing member of their book club in new-age Sedona, New Mexico . . . Two things got Rarity Cole through her breast cancer treatments: friends and books. But their therapeutic unity is disrupted when one of their members suddenly goes missing. Martha has always kept to herself, never opening up much of her personal life to the group. Now she’s nowhere to be found. With her car abandoned on a trail and her dog left with a friend, Rarity is sure something terrible had happened—but will she be able to uncover Martha’s secrets before it’s too late?

The book was well written, but I did not like the men Sam and Rarity ended up with. I would have preferred it switched around, but that is just a personal preference.
Other than that, there were too many loose ends left for my taste, and some characters needed a bit more defining. 
Overall, it's a good read

Honestly! I would read anything by Lynn Cahoon and also I have a new favorite audiobook narrator! I love that this story is set in a place where things aren’t vaguely permanently Christianized (ie, there’s a fortune teller, a crystal shop, etc), and I love that it doesn’t necessarily center around the main character’s bookshop, but rather the cancer survivor book club that she runs. There’s copaganda here in the form of a very handsome cop, who is also the love interest for the two main characters. The only worries I have about this series – which I would definitely pick up another of, due to LYNN CAHOON !!! – is that I don’t see how the next books in the series can have pun titles. Which is an important factor of the genre! Not a lot of focus on the mystery in this one, it was definitely the least important part of the book, but there was a lot of interesting character work. Four stars.
