She had been born wrong. Had been born with claws and fangs and had never been able to keep from using them, never been able to quell the part of her that roared at betrayal, that could hate and love more violently than anyone ever understood. Elain had been the only one who perhaps grasped it, but now her sister loathed her.

For it was music between their souls. Always had been. And his voice was her favorite melody.

Sarah J. Maas's sexy, richly imagined series continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, Nesta. Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it. The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other. Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other's arms.

The things I can say about this book - this may get long. (SPOILERS AHEAD)

I can usually read a book like this is a 3-4 days (that is my average read time for the other books in the series). This took me 3 months. It was that slow. It also made me so angry I could only read a chapter at a time before I had to stop, take a cleansing breath, read something else, and then come back to this.

I love Nesta. She is my favorite character in this series and one of my favorite literary characters of all time. I get Nesta. I too have suffered from PTSD and wished to no longer exist in the world. I understand her pain. I have never gone from loving a group of characters, in this instance the Inner Circle, to hating that group in so few pages. The way Rhys, Feyre, and the others treated Nesta when she was at her lowest makes me sick. They gave so much understanding to others, and themselves, who have experienced trauma, allowing room and time to heal - they denied this basic respect to Nesta. Yes, her behavior was unhealthy and worrying, but if at least one of them had pulled their head out of their ass long enough to realize they aren't the smartest person in the room and they, in fact, don't know everything, they may have been able to help her a lot sooner. They barely redeem themselves by the end and I know I wouldn't have been as forgiving as Nesta was towards her family. (If you dislike Nesta because of her behavior and you've never experienced that level of trauma and mental anguish, consider yourself very lucky and maybe check your privilege before you judge so harshly).

The book itself was okay. Even with how slow it was, the plot was wonderfully complex. It could have done with another edit to thin out some of the filler content (like how many times do we need to read about Nesta walking down a flight of stairs?). Even with how angry the characters made me, there was amazing growth from start to finish. I wish I had seen more between Mor and Emerie (with the way bookstagram was raving, I thought there would be way more interaction between those two). Elain has the personality of wilted lettuce. The spice was *chefs kiss* and I really want to know what the future holds for the rest of our motley crew.

3.5⭐️ only .5 because of the last chapters, I'm more for Rhys and Feyre, honestly, because there was more happening to the story in their books

The other books from this serie I doesn't liked so mutch like this book. Nesta's story was told very truthfully and I could empathise with her very well.I also liked (weak spoiler) that Nesta started something new with other women and that they were so convinced to go through with it.

nesta u slayer u lil slay girl u so swag ily

4.5 stars rounded up I've loved Nesta since ACOTAR, which is rare because a lot of people hated her, but I knew that there had to be something more than just a mean girl. Her journey in this book was well done. Nesta grew so much and went to hell and back, but when she reached hell, she told Satan to go fuck himself. Nesta's journey was so touching that I felt like I grew with her. She is one of my all-time favorite characters now and I can not tell you how many times I cried in Chapters 49 and 50. Holy shit. Cassian--oh my goodness. Cassian is an angel. I loved how he stood by Nesta's side all along her journey and was there to catch her when she fell. He did not save her -- he helped her save herself. I will forever be a Nessian shipper. Gwyn and Emerie. Nesta's sisters-in-arms. I don't think I've ever loved a friendship more. The way they leaned on each other and also carried each other in training, in their stories, and in the Blood Rite made my heart swell with happiness. Gwyn and Emerie's stories broke my heart. I cried so much when they told each other what happened to them, and their growth was so rewarding and amazing to see. I was silently-screaming at 2:00 am when I read Part Four -- The Blood Rite. I was their number 1 fan. True Valkyries. Oh my goodness. Rhys pissed me off every time he spoke. Literally every time. Also, this book is missing 0.5 of a star simply because of how they all blamed Nesta for spitting out the truth about Feyre and the baby. NESTA DIDN'T DESERVE A PUNISHMENT BECAUSE SHE SAID THE TRUTH. Rhys and the others NEVER should have kept that from Feyre. That pissed me off to the max and I will never, EVER, forgive SJM or Rhys for that. That was bullshit. Forever a Rhys hater I can’t with him. He’s so manipulative and wrong. The other reason this book is missing 0.5 star is because of how I felt Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie's win of the Blood Rite was SO overlooked ??? Like ??? SJM simply brushed over that when Nesta was reunited with everyone. I felt that they should have gotten more recognition because it was so rare to get to the peak of Ramiel. Literally only six others had, right? Those six including Rhys, Cassian, and Azriel. Plus, Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie were THE FIRST FEMALES to ever participate in it -- AND WIN IT. Let's give them the recognition they deserve, y'all. The other ACOTAR books in Feyre's perspective were all-right to me, but ACOSF blew me out of the water. This was a different vibe entirely and I loved it. if you take on this book, buy it secondhand or get it from the library.

Sarah J. Maas's sexy, richly imagined Court of Thorns and Roses series continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, Nesta. Nesta Archeron has always been prickly - proud, swift to anger and slow to forgive. And since the war - since being made High Fae against her will - she's struggled to forget the horrors she endured and find a place for herself within the strange and deadly Night Court. The person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred, winged warrior who is there at Nesta's every turn. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. And when they are forced to train in battle together, sparks become flame. As the threat of war casts its shadow over them once again, Nesta and Cassian must fight monsters from within and without if they are to stand a chance of halting the enemies of their court. But the ultimate risk will be searching for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

<blockquote>"That's the key, isn't it? To know the darkness will always remain, but how you choose to face it, handle it... that's the important part. To not let it consume. To focus upon the good, the things that fill you with wonder." She gestured to the stars zooming past. "The struggle with that darkness is worth it, just to see such things.”</blockquote>

He llorado mucho pero me han estado cayendo todos los personajes mal hasta el final. Sobre todo Rhys y Feyre. Y eso ha hecho que me desconectase un poco de la lectura

because it absolutely wrecked me. And all the swordplay euphemisms? Cherry on top.

They should’ve called this book The Breaker because it absolutely wrecked me. And all the swordplay euphemisms? Cherry on top.

I’m a bit disappointed. The smut was more than the plot. If you leave out the smut there isn’t much going on. The events taking place could have been easily integrated to book 3. It was still a good read, I enjoyed self-development, mental health themes and the development of side characters, but the plot wasn’t that interesting. I hope the next book won’t be the same and I can get the awe as I did in the first 3 books.

I’m at the end of my Velaris journey and what a journey it has been 4 Books, 2,731 pages in the space of around 3 weeks and what a series it has been, This has been on my TBR for a number of years and it feels like a huge achievement to be at the over side having meet Feyre and Rhysand and after being daunted by this series for so long I’m no longer sure why I was and when I closed the final book I just wanted more of it and for it to never end… I have loved my journey through it all & I need to thank an awesome Friend for not only getting me the series but for giving me the space to pick this one up in my own time and I’m relieved that we can still be friends now that I loved it!!

Nine months after ACOWAR, we follow Nesta as she is on a path of destruction. To try to help save her from that path, she is given an ultimatum by Feyre and Rhys. With her behaviours being troubling and out of control, she must follow certain expectations or face the consequences of being returned to the human lands. Mass does it again with making me fall in love with more characters in this universe. The way that the healing journey, action, character development, and plot all come together so painfully raw and made me fall in love with a character that I frankly hated from the very beginning was so astonishing. Never did I ever think going into this that this would happen!

This instalment is a lot more of a character driven ride as it shows Nesta’s journey of healing through friendship and falling in love, conveying the important message that we should not let trauma take over our future. Having suffered from PTSD and depression it’s always hard to break that cycle and ask for help but with the push of her sister she is able to break the cycle and see that everyone is capable of love and I loved the dynamic between Nesta and Cassian – They brought out the best in each other and where there to pick the other up when it was needed.

A Court of Silver Flames demonstrates Sarah J. Maas’s unparalleled ability to blend soul-stirring emotion with gripping fantasy. By giving readers a protagonist as multifaceted as Nesta, she offers a tale that feels intensely personal yet universally relatable. The book’s themes of healing, empowerment, and redemption strike a chord, making it an unforgettable entry in Maas’s repertoire.

For fans of the series and newcomers alike, A Court of Silver Flames is a testament to the transformative power of storytelling. It’s not just a book—it’s an experience, one that beckons readers to confront their own shadows and emerge stronger for it.

5⭐️!!!! Before this book I couldn’t stand Nesta and now I love her and her growth as a character. She is such a complex character and doesn’t deserve the hate. Their trio is so badass and empowering. The friendship bracelets were iconic. Honestly I feel like so much happened in this book! There was no point that I was bored! I would have to say that this book is up there with ACOMAF. Top two in the series for sure!

long to read—because there is so much that happens in this book, I don’t even know where to

There were so many moments where I related to Nesta, and seeing her relationship with Cassian unfold was absolutely beautiful. (And also really f*cking hot!) Her character arc was incredible!

This book was insane, and every time I picked it up, I wondered why I ever put it down. 🤩

had me scared, though. Sarah J. Mass, you did

come to play! Don’t mess with me like that again, okay? I’ve had enough trauma with Rhys almost dying. My heart could not take it. 💔

Anyway, I loved this book. I’m glad to be done with it. 💕
