Drsný autobiografický příběh francouzské herečky, která byla jako devítileté děvčátko znásilněná pedofilem. Malé Adélaïde bylo devět let, když ji na schodech domu, kde bydlela, zneužil cizí muž. Po dvaceti třech letech byl násilník vypátrán a ona byla znovu konfrontována se svým traumatem. Ve své knize vypráví, co prožívala po tom, co se jí TO stalo, popisuje vyšetřování na policii, své psychické stavy během dospívání a dospělosti, problémy se vztahem k sobě i k druhým, návštěvy psychoterapeutů, problémy s bulimií. Z knihy je patrné, že Adélaïde se nevzdávala a bojovala, aby zjistila, co je to za obrovskou bolest, kterou má v sobě, co jí brání žít obyčejně šťastný život - a evidentně se jí to podařilo.
