Who Am I? Why Am I Here? What Is Reality Really All About? Throughout mankind's history, our perceptive reality has led us to question who, what, and why we are here. Beowulf is an Old English epic poem. It may be the oldest surviving long poem in Old English and is commonly cited as one of the most important works of Old English literature. A date of composition is a matter of contention among scholars; the only certain dating pertains to the manuscript, which was produced between 975 and 1025. The author was an anonymous Anglo-Saxon poet. The history is set in Scandinavia. Beowulf, a hero of the Geats, comes to the aid of Hrothgar, the king of the Danes, whose mead hall in Heorot in has been under attack by a monster known as Grendel. After Beowulf slays the monster, Grendel's mother attacks the hall and is defeated by Beowulf, who later becomes king of the Geats. After a period of fifty years has passed, Beowulf has to fight against a dragon, but is mortally wounded in the battle. The poem was composed for entertainment, and does not separate between fictional elements and real historic events. Though Beowulf himself is not mentioned in any other Anglo-Saxon manuscript, scholars generally agree that many of the other personalities of the text also appear in Scandinavian sources, and the dating of the events in the poem has been confirmed by recent archaeological excavations. The full poem survives in the manuscript known as the Nowell Codex that is currently housed in the British Library. It has no title in the original manuscript, but has become known by the name of the story's protagonist.

Das Buch Aquarius wurde im M rz 2011 anonym an die Forgotten Books Webseite gemailt. Der Autor behauptet, er h tte mit dem Buch die vollst ndige Rezeptur zur Herstellung des Steins der Weisen, auch Gralsstein genannt, samt theoretischer Erkl rung wie und warum er funktioniert, geliefert. Dieser Wunderstein soll alle Krankheiten heilen, das Altern verhindern bzw. r ckg ngig machen und unedle Metalle in Silber und Gold verwandeln k nnen. Eine wirklich gewagt Behauptung. Die gesamte Belegschaft von Forgotten Books las das Dokument und obwohl mancher gelegentlich laut lachen musste, war man sich letztlich einig, dass es eine interessante und gelegentlich unterhaltsame Lekt re darstellt und eine Bereicherung f r die alchemistische Literatur. Forgotten Books ist der Meinung, so ein interessantes, objektives und lehrreiches Buch ber praktische Alchemie w re nie zuvor geschrieben worden. Es w rde trotzdem nahtlos zu den alten alchemistischen B chern passen, die vor Jahrhunderten verfasst wurden. Der Schreibstil ist formell und nicht verklausuliert, wie man es sonst oft in dieser Art Literatur findet. Ob die vorgestellten Theorien zutreffend sind, muss jeder f r sich entscheiden. Zum Zeitpunkt des Erscheinens dieser bersetzung ist es dem Autor nicht gelungen (und auch sonst niemandem aus seinem Gefolge im Internet-Forum), den Stein tats chlich herzustellen. Allerdings w re das aufgrund der zu erwartenden Laufzeiten der im Buch beschriebenen Prozesse wohl jetzt auch noch zu fr h. Diese deutsche bersetzung enth lt den vollst ndigen Originaltext des Book of Aquarius in ungek rzter Form. Im Anhang ist ein Link auf die Webseite des bersetzers, auf der Hilfestellung f r diejenigen, die sich in das Abenteuer st rzen wollen, gegeben werden (inklusive Hinweisen f r die erhebliche Beschleunigung des Vorgangs und seine Darstellung mittels Foto-Dokumentation). Der Prozess selbst kann dort via Webcam beobachtet werden und ein deutschsprachiges Forum erlaubt es, Fragen zu stellen.
