Beat is Anya Gallaccio's site-specific installation for the Duveen Galleries at Tate Britain. It responds specifically to both the dramatic space and scale of the Duveen Galleries and the tradition of British landscape painting represented in the Tate Collection.

Published to coincide with the exhibition Anya Gallaccio: "Silver Seed" at Mount Stuart Trust, Isle of Bute, Scotland. Gallaccio uses an electro scanning microscope to produce abstract black-and-white photographs of the Sequoia seed Sequoia Sempervium. These images are juxtaposed with the poem "The Sun and the Seed" by Joeri Bakker.
