En viktig drivkraft i utvecklingen och omdanandet av familj och arbetsliv var den statliga arbetsmarknadspolitiken. Hemmafruarna skulle ”aktiveras”, ta anställning och den manliga försörjarmodellen skulle fasas ut. Men hur gick det till när kvinnorna skulle lockas till förvärvsarbete istället för hemarbete?
