At any point, I might get attacked by an angry book, be on the shit-list for forgetting to hook up my battle bear's keg, or get called to investigate a gruesome magical murder. And how cool is that? Well... the investigating part, not so much the murder. When Garnet brings Team Trouble in to investigate a string of discarded bodies, none of us likes where the evidence points. Wer sich mit diesem Mädchen anlegt, bekommt den Hintern versohlt. Seit ich als Thronfolgerin gehandelt werde, wurde ich niedergestochen, entführt, auf die schwarze Liste gesetzt, gefoltert, ins Visier genommen und beschuldigt, die Ursache für so ziemlich jedes magische Unglück zu sein, das in den Straßen Torontos passiert ist. Für manche bin ich ein Ärgernis, für andere eine Kuriosität und wieder andere ein Problem, das beseitigt werden muss. Was soll's, wer hasst, muss hassen. Aber wenn eine dunkle und gefährliche Pilzwolke über meiner Familie und meinen Freunden aufzieht, bleibt mir nichts anderes übrig, als dem Ruf zu folgen und zu kämpfen. Wer manipuliert die Dinge hinter den Kulissen? Wer hat es auf die Menschen abgesehen, die mir wichtig sind? Ein Familieneid

Das Leben hat mir einen Schlag versetzt ... Ich habe eine Familie, von der ich nichts wusste, ein magisches Erbe, das seinen Anspruch erhebt und ein Geheimnis, das ich anscheinend lösen muss. Es gibt drei Dinge, die ich im Leben am meisten liebe... meine wilde und verrückte irische Familie, Redbreast Whiskey im Shenanigans und das Leben in Toronto. Da ich mit fünf älteren Brüdern aufgewachsen bin, kann ich mich aus den meisten Situationen herauskämpfen, entweder mit meinem verruchten Sinn für Humor oder mit meinen Fäusten. Oft sogar beides. Aber wenn ich nach einer Schlägerei auf dem Hinterhof mit einem bizarren keltischen Wappen auf dem Rücken gezeichnet bin, werde ich zu einem Anziehungspunkt für alle abgefahrenen und seltsamen Dinge. *Mein Vater ist natürlich erschrocken, als er das Tattoo sieht, aber er will nicht darüber reden. * Also tue ich, was jedes sture rothaarige Mädchen tun würde - ich ignoriere alle Ratschläge und fliege auf die Smaragdinsel, um Antworten zu bekommen. Und ja... du kennst das Sprichwort, dass man im Nachhinein immer alles besser weiß? Wahre Geschichte. Aufgepasst, Druidenwelt. Diese Mac Cumhaill ist wie keine andere. Wird Fiona es überleben, ihre Kräfte zu erlangen? Werden die Menschen in Irland Fiona überleben? Kann Toronto eine urbane Druidin und ihren mythischen Bären überleben?
