Narcisse Tordoir is een van Belgiës belangrijkste kunstenaars onder meer Luc Tuymans noemt zich schatplichtig aan Tordoir. In zijn recente werk wil hij de schilderkunst opnieuw uitvinden. Hij maakt in zijn atelier eerst een enscenering naar een bekend werk en bewerkt de foto's van die scènes naderhand. Daarbij speelt hij met de materie verf, tekeningen, foto's, decorstukken, personages en filmdocumentatie, en zet hij de toeschouwers telkens weer op het verkeerde been. Voor de reeks The Pink Spy, zijn nieuwe, monumentale werken die in dit boek werden opgenomen, liet Narcisse Tordoir zich inspireren door etsen van de Venetiaanse rococoschilder Giambattista Tiepolo. Daarnaast brengt Tordoir zijn eigen oeuvre in relatie met stukken uit de M HKA-collectie en de Barjeel Art Foundation, en met werk van een tiental jonge kunstenaars. Met tekstbijdragen van Bart De Baere, Gaston Meskens en Allard Schröder. Exhibition: MHKA Antwerpen, Belgium (14.03-25.05.2014).

The "Museum of Contemporary African Art" is an art installation conceived by the artist Meschac Gaba in 1997. This book documents the first six rooms of the museum (there were to be twelve) and was published with the display of the 7th room of the museum, the Library, at the Witte de With Centre for Contemporary Art, Rotterdam in 2001.
