Die junge Frau, Jana Hoffmann, wird erdrosselt aufgefunden. Vor ihrem Tod wurde sie mehrfach vergewaltigt. Scheinbar wurde sie über mehrere Tage betäubt und missbraucht, bevor sie der Mörder schließlich erwürgte. Jana Hoffmann war Teilhaberin einer Marketing Firma. Sie betreute den Callcenter ihrer Firma. Zuerst geraten die beiden Mitinhaber der Firma in Verdacht. Keiner von beiden hatte ein richtiges Alibi. Lukas Schneider, und Eric Johanson, sind ihre beiden Mitgesellschafter der Firma Call & Service Center (C S C) GmbH. Büroservice, Alibiservice, Telefonmarketing und Sexhotline waren das Betätigungsfeld der CSC. Insgesamt betreuten sie mehr als zwei Millionen Kunden mit ihrer Firma. Über zwei Millionen und zwei Verdächtige? Zuerst wird der Freundeskreis durchleuchtet. Dann kommen ehemalige Lover ins Spiel, die alle ein Motiv hatten. Sie wurden von Jana verlassen ohne einen plausiblen Grund. Eifersucht und verletzte Gefühle waren schon immer ein klassisches Motiv für einen Mord. Dann kommt alles ganz anders. Eine zweite Frauenleiche wird entdeckt. Auch diese wurde in ihrer Wohnung Tod vorgefunden. Es ist Rita Dreher. Sie war in einem Callcenter in Karlsruhe beschäftigt, die Telefonwerbung machte. Auch sie wurde vor ihrem Tod sediert und missbraucht. Der SOKO war klar, dass sie es mit ein und dem gleichen Täter zu tun haben. Beide tote Frauen hatten eine CD in ihren Player, auf dem sich der Bolero von Ravel befand. Nun stand zweifelsfrei fest, dass ein Serienmörder in Karlsruhe und Umgebung sein Unwesen treibt. Jedes Wochenende wird eine neue Frauenleiche gefunden. Sie wurden alle auf die gleiche Weise getötet, sediert, missbraucht und anschließend erwürgt. Scheinbar legte der Mörder zum Tötungszeitpunkt immer die gleiche Musik auf. Die SOKO wurde auf vierzig Beamte aufgestockt. Trotz Öffentlichkeit, hat scheinbar niemand etwas von den Morden bemerkt. Hunderte von Spuren wurden aufgenommen. Hunderte von Alibis überprüft. Klinkenputzen bei vermeidlichen Zeugen. Erst als ein weiterer Mord geschieht, kommt Licht in das Dunkel. Hat der Mörder einen Fehler gemacht? War er leichtsinnig geworden oder legte er bewusst falsche Spuren? Wollte er vielleicht nur mehr Aufmerksamkeit? Was ist das Motiv des Täters? Ist er ein Triebtäter oder gibt es noch andere Gründe? Die SOKO arbeitet sich Stück für Stück an die Lösung des Falles heran. Spannung bis zum Schluss. Und wie immer, führen viele Hinweise ins Leere.
