Cette fois, on part d’en haut pour aller vers...” Pieterjan laisse sa réplique en suspens au moment d’entreprendre la construction du nain géant. Pieterjan, un artiste en manque d’inspiration, accepte l’invitation de la première Biennale d’art de Beerpoele au beau milieu de la campagne flamande. Il aura tout le temps de se consacrer à son art. Mais bien vite, il découvre qu’en fait de résidences d’artistes, il s’agit d’une grande kermesse improvisée par Kristof, le gentil organisateur aux mains de géant. Rodolphe glumly considers his own misery and then suddenly snaps out of it, becoming the life of the party. The three careen through the city’s nightlife spots and underbelly, getting ever deeper in the messiness of human existence as they chase pleasure—or at least a few distractions from their daily lives.
