Time frequency analysis has been the object of intense research activity in the last decade. Wavelet analysis and its applications have been one of the fastest-growing research areas in the past several years. Alex Grossmann (1930-2019) carried out pioneering work on wavelet analysis with Jean Morlet, demonstrating its applicability to signal processing. Grossmann subsequently made significant contributions to mathematics, physics, computer science, and biology. This contributed volume features chapters written by collaborators of Grossmann and researchers whom he influenced in a decisive way.
