Le present catalogue des manuscrits notes de la Bibliotheque municipale de Colmar est le premier d'une serie de volumes ayant pour objet le recensement et la description des manuscrits du Moyen Age portant des notations musicales, conserves dans les bibliotheques publiques de France. Il est concu comme un outil d'investigation et de travail au service des historiens, liturgistes, philologues, musicologues et historiens de l'art du domaine medieval. Les manuscrits medievaux conserves a la Bibliotheque municipale de Colmar proviennent, pour la plupart d'entre eux, des couvents, abbayes et monasteres de Haute-Alsace et, en particulier, des communautes religieuses de la ville de Colmar. La bibliotheque de Colmar conserve a ce titre de nombreux manuscrits liturgiques a l'usage des abbayes benedictines de Murbach et de Munster, de l'abbaye cistercienne de Pairis et du couvent des chanoines Augustins de Marbach / Schwarzenthann, enfin une prestigieuse collection de livres liturgiques dominicains - graduels, antiphonaires, psautiers-hymnaires, processionnaux, pulpitarium - a l'usage des couvents d'homme et de femme de la ville (Unterlinden, Sainte-Catherine). Une introduction presentant les fonds, leur histoire et leurs particularites, eclaire le cadre historique dans lequel ces manuscrits ont vu le jour ou ont ete utilises. Chaque notice comporte une description codicologique du manuscrit, une presentation des elements permettant de preciser l'origine ou la provenance du volume, la date de sa redaction et son histoire. La description du contenu privilegie les elements susceptible d'eclairer l'histoire et l'usage du livre. La description du contenu inclut un releve de toutes les pieces ou groupes de pieces permettant de caracteriser un usage local ou regional. Tableaux synoptiques et index. Cette collection est une publication de l'UMR 7002 " Moyen Age " (CNRS) aupres de l'Universite de Nancy 2.

Language experts like Theodor Lewandowski have come to the conclusion that just 1,000 words of a language are enough to understand 85% of the language. Approximately 2,000 words are required to understand 90% and 4,000 words to understand 95%. Therefore, it makes sense to memorize the 1,000 most common words first so you have a solid foundation on which to build. Many language schools, compulsory schools (including grammar schools) and also learning apps usually do not recommend their students to learn the 1,000 most common words first, but rather concentrate on very unrealistic vocabulary that rarely appear in real life . And so it is no wonder that even after many years of language lessons, many students still cannot understand 20% of a text, let alone speak or write.

Human sociality is shaped and realized most notably in embodied practices of interpersonal interaction. At the same time, the social nature of human beings is open for cultural influences. This book inspects the foundations of human sociality theoretically drawing on recent debates in sociology, anthropology, and linguistics, and empirically by the example of interactions on the central square of a Wolof village in Northwestern Senegal. This book draws inspiration from Maurice Merleau-Ponty's concept of intercorporeality to offer a new, multidisciplinary perspective on the body. By drawing attention to the body's ability to simultaneously sense and be sensed, Merleau-Ponty transcends the object-subject divide and describes how bodies are about, into, and within other bodies. Such inherent relationality constitutes the essence of intercorporeality, and the chapters in this book examine such relationality from a host of diverse perspectives. The book begins with an introductory chapter in which the editors review the current research on bodily interaction, and introduce the notion of intercorporeality as a potentially integrative framework. The first section then offers four chapters devoted to clarifying theoretical and developmental perspectives on intercorporeality. Section 2 contains three chapters that provide insight on intercorporeality from evolutionary, historical, and cross-sectional perspectives. In Section 3, four chapters examine the intercorporeal nature of meaning-making during human interaction. Section 4 then presents three chapters that explore the intercorporeal nature of multi-agent interactions and the role that non-animate bodies (i.e., objects) play in such interaction. Throughout all the chapters, the authors work to integrate research in their specific discipline into the larger, transdisciplinary notion of intercorporeality. This collection provides an indisputably unique perspective on bodies-in-interaction, while simultaneously offering an interdisciplinary way forward in contemporary scholarship on bodies, meaning, and interaction.

This volume presents a new perspective on socially coordinated embodied activity. It brings together scholars from linguistics, interactional sociology, neuropsychology and brain research. It assembles empirical studies of the interaction in sports that draw on recent developments in ethnomethodological conversation analysis, the sociology of practice, interactional linguistics, and cognitive studies. Thinking beyond the individual body, the chapters investigate microscopically the materiality and reflexivity of skilled bodies in motion in different sports ranging from individuals jointly rock-climbing and distance-running to team sports such as rugby and basketball. Combining theoretical elements from phenomenology and cognitive studies, the volume emphasizes the temporal extension and merging of bodies towards an acting plural body and the situated embeddedness of dynamically interacting bodies in an environment that encompasses organized spaces, objects or other bodies. It thus offers a number of case studies in advanced research in embodied interaction that coalesce in a comprehensive picture of the ways human bodies merge in joint action.
