Esta hermosa novela gráfica –que nació como un webcómic– narra la historia fantástica de Edmund, un hada, y El Niño, un niño humano, que fueron cambiados al nacer, como se acostumbra hacer en ocasiones entre este pueblo de antiguos seres. Edmund debe ocultarles a todos en nuestro mundo sus poderes, que crecen conforme se acerca a la adolescencia, y por su parte, El Niño (que ni siquiera tiene un nombre real) es tratado en el reino mágico como una especie de mascota curiosa. Pero las cosas cambian cuando Hawthorne, una poderosa hada malvada, se apodera del trono del inframundo y los dos jóvenes tienen que protegerlo al tiempo que buscan entender quiénes son y a qué mundo pertenecen. La obra de Aldridge se caracteriza por un trazo muy expresivo y original, y sus páneles en acuarela le dan a esta novela un aire definitivamente clásico en el que hay de todo: dragones, seres mágicos, un gólem de cera y una ambientación que no desmerece lo mejor de la literatura fantástica.
