He later recorded the stories and, in time, became the boys' guardian. Today J. M. Barrie is best remembered as the creator of Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up. F. D. Bedford (1864-1954) was a British artist who illustrated numerous books, most notably this edition of Peter Pan.
