As I wrote this book, America was experiencing the worst economic trouble since the 1920s. Businesses were closing, thousands of homes were in forclosure, and bankruptcies were common place. I noticed many in my congregation were struggling as well, being hit with job layoffs and other financial setbacks. On January 26, 2010 at 1:15AM, I was awakened from a deep sleep as God spoke very loud and clear in my heart, four simple words, "The Tithe is Holy!"
