En se rendant au musée de l’Orangerie, voici que, devant Les Nymphéas de Monet, l’auteur est pris d’une crise d’angoisse. Contre toute attente, les Grands Panneaux déclenchent chez lui un vrai malaise. Sans doute l’art doit-il autant à l’artiste qu’au "regardeur" – mais encore ? Redevenant pour l’occasion le détective Bmore, Grégoire Bouillier décide d’en avoir le cœur net. Les Nymphéas de Monet cacheraient-ils un sombre secret ? Monet y aurait-il enterré quelque chose ou même quelqu’un ? Et pourquoi des nymphéas, d’abord ? Pourquoi Monet peignit-il les fleurs de son jardin jusqu’à l’obsession – au bas mot quatre cents fois pendant trente ans ?
