President Obama has declared that the greatest terrorist threat which America faces is attacks by lone wolf terrorists. This volume expands the lone wolf rubric to include autonomous cells: small groups of terrorists who cooperate, but operate independently. Lone Wolf and Autonomous Cell Terrorism

När den ekonomiska krisen fördjupats och på sina håll permanentats börjar militanta nationalistiska rörelser runt om i Europa att åter mobilisera i större skala. Heléne Lööw har under senare år närstuderat dessa grupperingar, som vuxit fram i en bred vit makt-miljö som väldigt få har inblick i. Det är en komplex värld av ställningskrig, tillfälliga allianser och direkta konfrontationer såväl med andra militanta grupper som med poliser, anti-fascister och det omgivande samhället. Under de senaste åren har till exempel Svenska motståndsrörelsen byggt upp baser på mindre orter i Sverige där de driver ett intensivt propagandaarbete, utför våldsamma gatuaktioner och sprider skräck genom sin blotta närvaro. Dessa rörelser ingår i ett internationellt nätverk och i 2014 års val lyckades de också på många håll kuppa sig in i olika kommunfullmäktige. I takt med att samhället dragit sig tillbaka eller inte ansett sig ha råd att upprätthålla vissa verksamheter har vit makt-rörelserna kunnat stärka sig genom att reparera lekplatser, starta medborgargarden och liknande. Svenska motståndsrörelsen, Svenskarnas Parti och andra vit makt-organisationers närvaro är allt mer påtaglig och de blir allt starkare. Med Heléne Lööws bok Nazismen i Sverige 20002014 tas de första stegen för att vi ska kunna förstå hur denna utveckling gått till och hur vi ska gå tillväga för att bemöta och bekämpa dessa grupper.

Heléne Lööw är fil. dr i historia och docent vid Uppsala Universitet. Hennes doktorsavhandling hette Hakkorset och Wasakärven. En studie av nationalsocialismen i Sverige 1924?1950. Nazismen i Sverige utkom på Ordfront 1998 (19780-1999) och 2004 (1924-1979). Hon har givit ut många böcker och erhållit en rad priser, bl.a. Immigrantinstitutets pris, Torgny Segerstedts pris av pressklubben för Västra Sverige och John Rhon-priset.
