
Humayun Ahmed

Humayun Ahmed (November 13, 1948 - July 19, 2012) was a Bangladeshi writer, novelist, screenwriter, filmmaker and professor. He debuted in 1972 with his novel, "Nandita Narake" (In Blissful Hell).
His literary works are characterized by light-hearted, comic-like humor styles, realistic storylines and non-violence.
He won the Bangla Academy Literary Award and Ekushey Padak for his contribution to Bengali literature. All of his films were based on his novels.
