ʻIzzat Allāh Nigāhbān

The ancient remains at Haft Tepe (the ancient name of the site is unknown) lie on the plain of Khuzistan in southwestern Iran close to the ruins of ancient Susa. Excavations under the directorship of Ezat Negahban and under the auspices of the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Art were conducted from 1969 through 1979. This volume contains extensive information one excavation and the architectural remains, and includes a catalogue of the artifacts. Of special interest are the many seal impressions. Excavations at Haft Tepe, Iran

The Royal Cemetery at Tepe Marlik was excavated in one incredible 14-month season. The 53 intact tombs contained a fabulous array of precious metal vessels, jewelry, sculpture, weapons, and other artifacts.
