Çözüm ise daha fazla “biz” demekte yatıyor.

Özgüvenli görünen ama aslında narsisizmin getirdiği bir ego şişmesi yaşayan yeni neslin realist bir tarafı yok. Onlardaki bu kaygı, öfke olarak; narsisizm ise yalnızlık olarak topluma yansıyor. Bu ciddi bir küresel sorun, tsunami dalgası gibi tüm dünyaya yayılıyor. Türkiye’de de bunu istatistiksel olarak görebiliyoruz. 80’li yıllarda özgüvenin desteklenmesinin önemini vurgulayan eğitim sistemi, Türkiye’de de uygulandı. Şu an büyük şehirlerdeki genç nesil, Twenge’nin kitabında anlattıklarıyla aynı durumda. Sağlam gelenek ve göreneklerimiz bizi biraz olsun korudu. Ama bu yeterli değil. Bu yüzden bir an önce Türkiye’deki gençlerimizin ne durumda olduğu ve nereye gittiğini ortaya koyacak ciddi çalışmalara başlanması ve önlemler alınması gerekiyor.
