I tre capitoli di questo volume vanno a ritroso nel tempo, raccontando tre estati nella vita di questa famiglia unica e allo stesso tempo così simile a tante altre, rivelandone la psicologia e i sogni in un modo deliziosamente poetico. Lo sceneggiatore Zidrou costruisce un racconto corale a più livelli, delicato e vero, rendendo ogni personaggio meravigliosamente tridimensionale, aiutato dai magnifici disegni dello spagnolo Jordi Lafebre. Sebbene la serie sia ancora in corso in Francia, questo primo volume italiano è perfettamente autoconclusivo e, anzi, lascia una sensazione di commossa soddisfazione nel lettore, grazie a un finale che vi strapperà una lacrima di pura, malinconica empatia.

Li ritroviamo, alla fine del libro, che si incontrano per la prima volta, perché in questo libro di Jordi Lafebre i capitoli sono numerati da 20 a 1, e la storia d’amore di Ana e Zeno è raccontata in ordine inverso, ma se gli anni diminuiscono, man mano che la lettura procede le emozioni aumentano. Un racconto perfetto, che sa raccontare i complessi incastri del cuore.
