Zemi ovládají roboti. Jsou inteligentní, mírumilovní, praktičtí, zodpovědní, předvídatelní – modrá planeta se nemohla dostat do lepších rukou. A to jen díky tomu, že roboti v pravý čas odstranili lidi. Ano, ony tvory, kterým sice nelze upřít pár dobrých vlastností (vyvinuli přece roboty), ale jinak se starali jen o válčení, znečišťování životního prostředí a zkrášlování svých nehtů. Bez lidí je světu prostě mnohem lépe. To mají ve svých elektronických mozcích zakódováno i XR_935, Ceeron_909 a SkD_988, dokud jednoho dne náhodou nenarazí na člověka. Lidské mládě s označením Emma, které je podle všeho poslední svého druhu. Přesto se odhodlaně vydává na cestu za tajemným cílem, a XR & spol. podniknou po boku lidské dívky nejnepředvídatelnější dobrodružství svého robotického života.
