Dopo aver realizzato il graphic novel tratto dal Diario di Anne Frank, il regista israeliano Ari Folman, affiancato dalla disegnatrice Lena Guberman, racconta di nuovo la storia di Anne. Questa volta però lo fa da un punto di vista originale e insolito, quello di Kitty, l'amica immaginaria a cui sono confidati i segreti del Diario . E attraverso il suo sguardo sognante e determinato ci restituisce tutta la scottante attualità del messaggio di Anne. Un messaggio che dobbiamo tornare ad ascoltare per far sí che le tragedie della Storia non si ripetano.
