This book contains the proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Education, Knowledge and Information Management (ICEKIM 2023) held via hybrid form in Nanjing, China during May 26th to 28th, 2023. The specific topics covered in this conference include the application of artificial intelligence in education, learning management systems, collaborative learning, e-learning methodologies, intellectual property rights, and patents. The aim of the conference is to bring together various professionals from the scientific community to foster connections between science, technology, and industry, and provide a platform for exploring fundamental issues and new applications in related fields. We hope that the scientific attitudes and skills developed through research will encourage scholars worldwide to contribute to the development of knowledge generated by research. The 4th International Conference on Modern Education and Information Management (ICMEIM 2023) was successfully held from September 8th to 10th, 2023 in Wuhan, China. This conference aimed to bring together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to discuss and exchange ideas on the latest trends and advancements in modern education and information management. The conference program featured a diverse range of research topics, including educational technology, digital learning, information systems, and knowledge management. With a focus on exploring innovative approaches and strategies, the conference provided a platform for participants to present their research findings and share insights on the future development of the field. Distinguished speakers included Prof. Qing Ding from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China; Prof. Longkai Wu from Central China Normal University, China; Assoc. Prof. Lim Chee Leong from Taylor's University, Malaysia; and Assoc. Prof. Teh Sin Yin from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. These experts delivered keynote speeches, offering valuable perspectives and stimulating discussions on the conference themes. As the process of social modernization continues to advance, people realize that the key to social modernization is the modernization of people, and the modernization of people is inseparable from the modernization of education. It can be seen that education modernization is the foundation of social modernization. Education modernization is an important reform direction of education development, including modernization of education concept, modernization of education content, modernization of education equipment, modernization of teachers and modernization of education management. And information management is one of the important methods to realize education modernization Information management is the social activity of planning, organizing, leading and controlling information resources by means of modern information technology in order to effectively develop and utilize information resources. Simply put, information management is the management of information resources and information activities by human beings. Information management is a general term for the information that people collect, process and input and output in the whole management process. The process of information management includes information collection, information transmission, information processing and information storage. Using the new generation of information management technology to enhance the digitalization, networking and intelligence of education management, promote the transformation of education decision-making from experience-driven to data-driven, education management from one-way management to collaborative governance, education service from passive response to active service, and support the modernization of education governance system and governance capacity with information technology.
