Moreover, the study delivers a comparative account of labour market and long-term care policies in Serbia and Croatia, using in-depth descriptive country studies and illuminates issues that have, thus far, not been at the centre of international research interest, despite the pressing need. The book provides a comprehensive picture on structures, processes and key challenges, as well as respective links to recommended reforms. Michael Sauer teaches at the Department of Social Policy and Qualitative Methods of Social Research at the University of Cologne. Further he works as a consultant and regional expert on the Western Balkans.
