This is an open access book.The position of Indonesia and most countries in IMF calculations, facing the same challenges. Each country requires the legal instruments of a good and reliable system of Government to guards against the worst possible economic turmoil. Good governance is an insistence of the constitution in the economic Article 33 paragraph (5), subsequently published Constitution Number: 30 Year of 2014 on Government Administration, contains 17 principles of a good governance. One of the important points of the principle is a government without corruption and manipulation of policy concepts in order to provide access to consolidation in politics and economy. The latest Transparency International report for 2023 shows that Indonesia’s corruption perception index was recorded at 34 points on a scale of 0-100 in 2022. This is a 4-point decrease from the previous year. This decline in the CPI also brought down the ranking of Indonesia’s CPI globally. It was noted that Indonesia’s CPI in 2022 ranked 110th. In the previous year, Indonesia’s CPI was ranked 96th globally. Good Governance is all aspects related to the control and supervision of the power of the Government in carrying out its functions through formal and informal institutions. To implement the principles of Good Governance and Clean Government, the Government must implement the principles of accountability and efficient resource management. Good and clean governance will contribute to economic growth and economic growth will have an impact on human development. During the last decades of 20th century, the needs for a good governance has given some impacts and became a recurring theme in literature related to human development. The intervention of government or the quality of government become crucially important in relation to the high achievement of human development. Whereas an effort in improving society’s welfare is through economic development. One of dominant aspects in economic development is through legal development. Good law or policy in such country will have some impacts to the existence of good economic growth because supremacy of law is one aspect of a good governance. Law supremacy is an important institution which is related to economic growth because rule of law ensures personal safety, property rights, unbiased contract enforcement, stability of politics, freedom of speech and control of corruption. According to those various issues and debates on economic, legal development and good governance, then the Doctoral Program of the Faculty of Law Sebelas Maret University needs to hold an international conference as a place in exchanging some academic ideas in order to contributes to those legal issues with a theme, “INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON LAW, ECONOMICS, AND GOOD GOVERNANCE”

The 3rd Sriwijaya International Conference on Environmental Issues (3rd SRICOENV) 2022 was successfully held on OCTOBER 5th, 2022, in Palembang, South Sumatera-Indonesia (virtual conference). The 3rd SRICOENV 2022 created a forum for exchanging ideas and research results, opened new perspectives in related fields and broadened the horizons of all participants. The conference was attended by 350 people from all over the world. The conference was divided into three parts, including keynote lectures, oral presentations and online discussions. First, the keynote speakers had 30-45 minutes to present. Then, in the oral presentations, their authors presented the outstanding papers we selected individually. We are pleased to announce that we have selected many high-quality papers from the submissions and included them in the conference proceedings after a rigorous review. These papers cover all environmental topics to present the state of the art in environmental and climate change issues. All papers have undergone rigorous review to meet the requirements for publication. We would like to thank everyone who supported the 3rd SRICOENV 2022 and made it a great success. In particular, we would like to thank the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) for the hard work of all their colleagues in publishing this volume. This is an open access book. Cultural policy plays a crucial role in shaping societies, influencing cultural expressions, and advancing sustainable development. Laws and regulations related to culture, both at the national and international levels, play a key role in regulating and protecting cultural heritage and supporting a healthy cultural ecosystem. The First International Conference on Cultural Policy and Sustainable Development (ICPSD) aims to explore the impact of cultural policies in democratic and nondemocratic regimes. This conference will serve as a platform for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to exchange ideas, share experiences, and discuss strategies to promote cultural diversity, creativity, and sustainability in different political contexts.Internationally, various agreements such as the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions underscore the importance of cultural policies in supporting sustainable development and promoting cultural diversity (UNESCO Convention 2005, n.d.). At the national level, laws such as the Cultural Law in Indonesia establish a framework for the protection and development of culture, as well as provide a legal basis for inclusive and sustainable cultural policy-making (Law Number 5 of 2017 concerning the Advancement of Culture, n.d.).In democratic regimes, cultural policies are often developed through participatory processes, reflecting the values and aspirations of diverse communities. These policies aim to support cultural expression, protect cultural heritage, and promote cultural rights, thereby contributing to social cohesion and inclusive development. However, challenges such as funding limitations, cultural commodification, and the impact of digital technology require ongoing dialogue and innovation in policy approaches. On the other hand, cultural policies in nondemocratic regimes are often used as tools for political control, censorship, and the promotion of state ideology. Nevertheless, cultural practitioners and activists in these contexts demonstrate resilience and creativity in navigating restrictive environments, often using digital technology to amplify their voices and preserve cultural identity. In various countries, existing legislation greatly influences the implementation of cultural policies and sustainable development. In Indonesia, for example, Law Number 5 of 2017 concerning Culture serves as the main foundation for the development of sustainable cultural policies. This law promotes the protection, preservation, development, utilization, and fostering of culture as an integral part of national development (Law Number 5 of 2017 concerning the Advancement of Culture, n.d.).Cultural Policy and Sustainable Development are interrelated concepts and are the main focus of this conference, where appropriate cultural policies can strengthen sustainable development, reinforce cultural identity, and improve the quality of life for communities. In the context of the conference theme, Cultural Policies in Democratic and Nondemocratic Regimes, it is important to consider the differences in cultural policy approaches between these two types of regimes. The 2nd Annual Conference of the International Conference of Geography (ICGEO) was held on November 19, 2022, with the theme "Discovering New Geography Trends." The conference utilized a combination of virtual and offline methods. We are delighted to introduce the proceedings of the first edition of Joint Workshop KO2PI and International Conference on Advance & Scientific Innovation 2018 (ICASI 2018). This conference has brought researchers, developers and practitioners around the world who are leveraging and developing scientific technology. The theme of ICASI 2018 was “Empowering Digital Society through Integration of Multidisciplinarity aspect”. The technical program of Joint Workshop KO2PI and ICASI 2018 consisted of 22 full papers, including 4 invited papers in oral presentation sessions at the main conference tracks. The Faculty of Education and Teaching Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Bukittinggi, West Sumatera Indonesia, organized the 2nd International Conference on Education (BICED 2020) on 14-15 September 2020 in Bukittinggi, West Sumatera, Indonesia. The number of participants who joined the zoom room was recorded at 736 participants. 224 participants attended the conference via the zoom application and 539 participants via YouTube Channel. Participants came from 5 countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand and Australia. BICED 2020 is implemented with the support of a stable internet network system and a zoom application. In the implementation there were several technical obstacles encountered by the participants, namely the difficulty of joining the zoom application due to the unstable internet signal. The holding of a virtual conference felt less meaningful, due to the lack of interaction between speakers and participants. The BICED 2020 committee 29 papers were presented and discussed. The papers were authored by researchers from Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, Malaysia, United Kingdom, and Indonesia. All papers have been scrutinized by a panel of reviewers who provide critical comments and corrections, and thereafter contributed to the improvement of the quality of the papers.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Bengkulu University (UNIB) Provinsi Bengkulu, Indonesia, organized the 3rd Beehive International Social Innovation Conference (BISIC) 2020 on 3rd- 4th Oct 2020 in Bengkulu, Indonesia. The number of participants who joined the zoom room was recorded at 450 participants. Participants came from 4 countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand. BISIC 2020 is implemented with the support of a stable internet network system and a zoom application. In the implementation there were several technical obstacles encountered by the participants, namely the difficulty of joining the zoom application due to the unstable internet signal. The holding of a virtual conference felt less meaningful, due to the lack of interaction between speakers and participants. The BICED 2020 committee 30 papers were presented and discussed. The papers were authored by researchers from Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesian. All papers have been scrutinized by a panel of reviewers who provide critical comments and corrections, and thereafter contributed to the improvement of the quality of the papers.
