This book constitutes the proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Statistical Language and Speech Processing, SLSP 2018, held in Mons, Belgium, in October 2018. The 15 full papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 40 submissions. Statistical Language and Speech Processing

This is the first book to treat two areas of speech synthesis: natural language processing and the inherent problems it presents for speech synthesis; and digital signal processing, with an emphasis on the concatenative approach. Les paysages des steppes marquent les esprits, à l’évocation de celles du Serengeti, de Mongolie, de Patagonie ou d’Estrémadure.
