"This exhibition, 'The Subjects of the Artist, ' is the second part of a series of explorations, at the Gallery, of American art at mid-century. It is intended to be a core sample of the abstract-expressionist movement, focusing on works that form a series or emphasize a particular theme by each of seven artists. . .
