ComedyCharacters: 9 female, 2 male, 2 either, with extrasCheets, the irrepressible elf, saves Emma and the enchanted forest from certain destruction! Lord Hazard has employed Patsy, the Banana Spider, to keep Emma ensnared in her web while Hazard sells the forest to developers. Given his reputation for mischief, no one believes Cheets when he claims that he has found Emma because no one but Cheets can see her. Audience participation is encouraged, especially when Emma plays charades with Cheets to make herself understood. A stand alone sequel to Emma and the Lost Unicorn, new characters are introduced; Thomas, a sea turtle, nautical to his toes; Patsy, the spider, means well but cannot resist the tasty bugs supplied to her by Hazard. Rose and Lord Hazard, century old lovers, reunite. This fable contains greed, ecology, friendship, enduring love and justice.

The Exciting Exploits of an Effervescent Elf

Author, playwright, and poet, Trisha Sugarek has been writing for four decades. Until recently her writing had focused on stage plays (Publisher: Samuel French, Inc.) that ranged from prison stories to children's fables. She has expanded her body of work to include two books of poetry, a group of children's books and her debut novel, “Women Outside the Walls”. Newly released, a series “ShortN'Small” short plays, small casts which are used in classrooms in this country and internationally.She has enjoyed a thirty year career in theatre as an actor and director. Originally from Seattle, she has worked in theatres from coast to coast and her plays have been produced across the country and abroad. Stanley, the Stalwart Dragon

Rainey, the unicorn, is a prince who has been banished, for centuries, by the warlord, Hazard. He can never return home unless Emma solves more riddles than Kodak, Hazard's Lieutenant and discovers his secret weakness. The fable ends with a surprise twist which will delight readers. While written for children, this fairy tale is sophisticated enough to appeal to adults as well. Queens, warlocks, faeries, elves, unicorns, handmaidens, scary henchmen and one small mortal girl child, in an enchanted forest. The rhetorical owl and naughty elf provide much laughter. This parable offers many subtle lessons.

Emma and the Lost Unicorn

This can't be happening on Susie's wedding day. It's a girl's dream wedding and everything is perfect. That is until a small plane suddenly circles the venue and her ex-boyfriend jumps out and begins his descent, spurts of smoke shooting out of the heels of his boots. Susie and her father are just pulling up to the dockside in a white festooned boat, to where her groom and two hundred guests are waiting. For the father of the bride, it's the last straw. He reaches for a flare gun, and before Susie can react, fires it into the air. Unfortunately for the sky diver, flare guns cannot be aimed. The flare hits the parachute and ignites it. Chute blazing away, Susie's ex plummets into the wedding tent. Unscathed, he struggles to free himself of parachute and lines. The wedding cake and various food trays have not faired so well. Will the wedding proceed as the police take the heartbroken suitor away?

Bertie, the bookworm is the fabled forest's elder and teacher. Every week he has a spelling and reading circle where everyone is welcomed. Slam, the badger and his gang of bully boys are forever teasing, disrupting, and bullying Bertie and the group of faeries and woodland creatures. Pansy, the pixie is a new character in this third of the Fabled Forest series. She is a defender of reading, truth, and Bertie. Cheets, our beloved elf from past books joins the wrong crowd and his friends are worried that he will become the newest member of the Bully Boys. The story teaches gentle lessons about literacy, bullying and ageism. The book pays special homage to the classical fairy tales with appearances by little red riding hood, the wicked stepsister, the three little piggies and many more as they wander through the Fabled Forest.
