Ty Keenum

In "The Little Church In The Valley" aging members of a small isolated sect in the north Georgia Mountains are confronted with the retirement of their long-standing pastor. Through a revival tryout process a charming, young, new pastor, Dale E. Bannock is chosen and the church continues to serve the community. Despite rumors of the pastor's many indiscretions the church maintains its meager growth and continues to prosper until a fateful accident. While the pastor recovers from his injury a beautiful, vibrant female pastor, Helena Corbeille, is hired to substitute for the flock. Conflict arises when the female preacher draws larger and larger crowds to the little church and the injured pastor is not emotionally able to return to his post.

The brand recognition is phenomenal, and everyone associated with the church prospers. A child prodigy, a gospel sensation, a redeemed libertine, and a beautiful Evangelical superstar all bring challenges and rewards in diverse ways. As the Elders work tirelessly to promote the message, they are challenged to keep the public's focus on the ministry and not their own private lives. Fortunes are threatened when a Sunday service reveals far more than the congregation could have ever anticipated. Can the Elders keep the ministry above water and their secrets buried?

Keenum's personal journey began in the mountains of North Carolina with residence stopovers in Florida, Texas, and finally culminating in Atlanta, Georgia. Like the author, the story's settings wind throughout the southland from the mountains of West Virginia to the Gulf coast of Florida, the furniture markets of North Carolina and culminates in of all places, the White House. In “The Crystal Palace” the story of the beautiful vibrant female preacher continues as she carries on the work of the “Little Church in the Valley” to a much larger audience. In addition to the immense numbers of new congregants that fill the Crystal Palace every time the doors are open, the young minister is developing a nationwide television market. Simultaneously, Devin Bannock, the power behind the “miracle in the valley” has gone on the road with his dad, the Reverend Dale Bannock to work the revival circuit. Despite his tender years, Little Devin has built a nationwide following in his own right and routinely preaches to sold out venues. The most conspicuous recipient of Devin’s gift, Bubba Hawker, has returned to minister to the church his grandfather started over 100 years ago. In a bit of karmic serendipity, Bubba lands a record deal for a gospel album that shoots right to the top of the charts. The former “lost soul” now commands riches and fame beyond his wildest dreams. The church Elders are challenged to keep all of the elements of their evangelical machine, the theme park, the revival ministry, and the television network fine-tuned and running smoothly. Eventually the Elder’s personal lives come into the public eye and threaten to leave the entire operation in ruins.
