On the Goethe Institut's one-year pop-up in the Minneapolis Skyway As part of the Year of German-American Friendship 2018/19, the Goethe Pop Up Minneapolis, titled Goethe in the Skyways, occupied a space in the city's futuristic-looking Skyway system--an artificial network of arcades and pedestrian bridges that was constructed in the 1960s to connect the office buildings in the city center with one another and allow people to avoid the bitter cold of winter. Despite being used and perceived as public spaces, the Skyways are all privately owned, thus symbolizing "public" life in the US, both within politics and business, and in the realms of sport and culture. In this hybrid private-public setting, Goethe in the Skyways was used as a platform for a critical examination of cultural and political controversies in the US and Europe. The publication documents the one-year cultural program.

Winning at Horse Racing with Correlation Analysis reveals actual horse racing experience with winning tickets as evidence to proof that correlation-based analysis has the capability to predict winning outcomes in competitive horse racing world-wide. Several horse racing events were subjected to correlation analysis from the United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Africa, Mauritius, and the United States. Winning tickets are representative of nineteen different race courses world-wide. The objective with this sample size was to avoid a chance occurrence of winning or a stroke of luck by going beyond a single country and a limited number of race courses. There are two aspects being emphasised, most importantly it is about winning. The other being the technicalities of correlation, as this explains the high success rate that eludes most in horse racing. Therefore, the statistical principles of correlation are simplified and demonstrated with user friendly and colour aided visuals.The advent of the internet with rapid technological innovation has fundamentally changed traditional approaches to horse racing.
