This volume contains the refereed proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Logic Programming and Nonmonotonic Reasoning, LPNMR 2011, held in May 2011 in Vancouver, Canada. The 16 revised full papers (13 technical papers, 1 application description, and 2 system descriptions) and 26 short papers (16 technical papers, 3 application description, and 7 system descriptions) which were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions, are presented together with 3 invited talks. Being a forum for exchanging ideas on declarative logic programming, nonmonotonic reasoning, and knowledge representation, the conference aims to facilitate interactions between those researchers and practitioners interested in the design and implementation of logic-based programming languages and database systems, and those who work in the area of knowledge representation and nonmonotonic reasoning.

This is the sixth and last volume of a series of national reports on basic issues concerning the acquisition and loss of ownership of movable assets. The series covers 28 European legal systems. Starting with general property law issues like the concepts of ownership and possession employed in the respective legal systems, and the related means of protection, the reports primarily deal with the `derivative' transfer of ownership, but extend to good faith acquisition from a non-owner, acquisitive prescription, processing and commingling, and further related issues. The reports provide the reader with detailed information about the respective rules, case law and legal literature, prepared by national property law experts. These reports are a starting point for further comparative research in property law and also a tool for practitioners searching for information on foreign legal systems.

This volume contains the lecture notes of the 13th Reasoning Web Summer School, RW 2017, held in London, UK, in July 2017. In 2017, the theme of the school was "Semantic Interoperability on the Web", which encompasses subjects such as data integration, open data management, reasoning over linked data, database to ontology mapping, query answering over ontologies, hybrid reasoning with rules and ontologies, and ontology-based dynamic systems. Web Reasoning and Rule Systems

Comparative research in the area of property law is gaining importance. Against the background of the current discussion of developing model rules, aimed at facilitating European private law harmonization, and of ongoing law reform projects in a number of EU Member States, this volume addresses key issues in the field of the transfer of corporeal movable property. Authors from various European countries discuss classical issues of property law, such as the dichotomies of "consensual" versus "delivery" and "causal" versus "abstract" transfer systems, good faith acquisition, and the role of party autonomy in the field of the transfer of ownership. In addition, a special focus is given to the less well-known â?? but at least equally fundamental â?? difference between "unitary" transfer approaches, as applied in continental Europe, and the "functional" approach, as followed in Scandinavian countries. Further contributions discuss fiduciary transfers, avoidance in bankruptcy, the question of where to draw the line between obligatory and proprietary rights, the role of intellectual property rights, possession, and the EU law basis for the harmonization of property law. These contributions were presented at a conference held in Salzburg in February 2007, forming part of the activities of the working group "Transfer of Movables" within the "Study Group on a European Civil Code."

This is the first of a series of national reports on basic issues concerning the acquisition and loss of ownership of movable assets. The series is planned to cover 27 European legal systems, distributed over six volumes, as a product of the research activities of the working group "Transfer of Movables" within the "Study Group on a European Civil Code". Starting with general property law issues like the concepts of ownership and possession employed in the respective legal systems, and the related means of protection, the reports primarily deal with the "derivative" transfer of ownership, but extend to good faith acquisition from a non-owner, acquisitive prescription, processing and commingling, and further related issues. The reports provide the reader with detailed information about the respective rules, case law and legal literature, prepared by national property law experts. These reports are a starting point for further comparative research in property law and also a tool for practitioners searching for information on foreign legal systems. Where available and as far as reasonable, the reports include translations of the most important statutory provisions either in the text or in an annex. All reports include a table of literature and a table of abbreviations, which shall facilitate carrying out further research.

A Candidate for European Harmonisation or National Reforms?

This volume contains the major result of the work undertaken by the international research group "Transfer of Movables" which belonged to the Study Group on a European Civil Code. It covers the most important aspects of the law of property in movables, such as the transfer of ownership based on the transferor's right and the good faith acquisition of ownership. The suggested black letter provisions are accompanied by extensive explanatory comments and comparative notes providing information on the existing rules of the EU Member States. As compared to Book VIII of the DCFR, this volume contains additional and partly revised national notes, extended comments, translations of the black letter rules and adapted registers. The "Principles of European Law" are published in co-operation with Oxford University Press and Staempfli (Switzerland).
