Yu Miri's "Family Cinema"

Yu Miri qui vient d'obtenir à vingt-neuf ans le célèbre prix Akutagawa (le Goncourt japonais) pour son dernier roman Cinéma familial - l'événement littéraire de l'année - est représentative de la nouvelle génération d'écrivains d'origine coréenne vivant au Japon : ils écrivent la rage au cœur des œuvres tourmentées, portées par les feux de la révolte. La cellule familiale où, selon elle, se nouent les contradictions de la vie, est au cœur de ses romans. Dans Jeux de famille, c'est un père farfelu qui s'efforce de reconstituer maladroitement dans sa nouvelle maison la famille qu'il a contribué à briser par sa désinvolture, l'affrontement avec ses filles tournant au psychodrame et trouvant son accomplissement dans la fuite d'une fillette, au cours d'une nuit tourmentée comme un tableau de Van Gogh. Le style de Yu Miri est sec, presque cru, crispant le foisonnement imaginaire de personnages à vif qui se démènent au milieu de leur chaos et de leurs divagations. Le traitement est souvent cinématographique : travellings dans un labyrinthe ou gros plans pour dire les regards qui étincellent. Une altération de la réalité sous le regard myope et délirant de la narratrice qui rappelle celui d'un peintre dont on pourrait voir et entendre les hallucinations et les violences verbales sur la toile.
