           five stars bc this might be one of my favorite volume so far! yona and the dragons were bonded so well and the tension between yona and hak is just too much too handle i just can't ignore them and give this volume less than four stars. also i got a glimpse of childhood yona, hak, and soo won that shaped hak and soo won the way they are right now.

           so, another mess review.

i knew fire tribe is dirty but honestly i did not expected that kan soo-jin would rebel against soo won, but now that it is what it is, make so much sense. fire tribe is probably the most arrogant tribe in the kouka kingdom—claimed that they're the descendant of king hiryuu therefore soo-jin thinks he's the rightful heir of kouka, leading him to make an alliance with sen province leader to dethrone soo won. while also blind that sen's leader is using him to get the throne to himself. 

aside from that, i am not ashamed to say that i like tae-jun character development, boy he does a lot. he's being a better person—though some part because of yona influence and he still likes her—but at least he realized his responsibility as the heir of fire tribe leader and toke a role to help the poor of his tribe. i respect him for that.

           this volume is literally.... SO MUCH ANGST!

 from hak, yona, soo-won second reunion, the fact that soo-won forbids joo-doh to kill hak and yona—hak especially—really shows that he still cares to his friends. 

also we got to see how yona handling her realization that she has feeling to hak and of how hak couldn't believe his eyes that his long live childhood crush sudden affection. my heart combust in a painfully good way. but still, painful.

           xing's arc still continued in this volume. yona went as emissary for xing kingdom and even gave away her hairpin—her only possession from soo-won. i'd like to think that, that's one of game changer, a prove that she totally changed. she didn't care about the throne, or liking soo-won romantically anymore. if any, she was trying to kiss hak but both party couldn't believe each other's action.

           the priest villain of xing's arc is so annoying so we are not gonna talk about that... but can we talk about how hak said that the happy hungry bunch are his home!!!! that's so touching i actually cried??? and he went off confessing to yona that's some epic shit ever!!!

           the end of chapter 146 tho! the dragons i love yous!!!

chapter 153 is my favorite in this volume they're so peaceful and happy..... when hak said “aren't you just too cool” and yona blushes furiously that's just too adorable!

           honestly i did not expected that lady iguni would be that kind and has different principle than her late husband. i wouldn't and couldn't trust kye-sook.... 

when yona said “when you give me power, hak, i feel like i can be stronger than anyone else.” phewww that was phenomenal.

and tbh i'm afraid yona, yoon, zeno, and jae-ha would be captured by that bigot gobi and kai troops since ogi betrayed them.... sigh.

           i don't say i'm kinda sympathize with soo-won and understood his motive but that's what i'm saying.

also chapter 176: YONA CONFESSED TO HAK! i was so happy i wanna cry. and the next chapter hak thought "shit i'm so happy" he couldn't believe she returned his feeling :")

but back to soo-won i really Don't Like his advisor, he's far more dangerous and manipulative than joo-doh.

the deeper we got into soo-won past and through his lense, the more i'm sympathizing (yes i've said it in last volume review) with him. king il surely wasn't a saint and good king, we did not know him except through yona and hak's lenses, that held him highly, especially hak. so, i really want to know about why king il seemed not found of soo-won. 

sigh, this volume we got less and less happy hungry bunch contents, a lot of yona carried the problem in her own shoulders, and she seemed to cry more (of course regarding she couldn't meet hak, yoon, and the dragons after knowing about crimson king illness soo-won suffered from). i just want her to be happy again in the next volume :(

also i didn't not particularly fond of yu-hon, although i'm also curious about their backstory regarding yong-hi illness.
