Firstly, it is a perfectly good, compact and satisfying series. I’m really glad it wasn’t dragged out with the amount of hype it is getting. Tanjiro is a rare main character that isn’t jaded and is genuinely working hard to help those around him. As a whole, I am satisfied with the story and where it ended, I love all (well, most) of the characters and the story lines. However, here are my qualms.

1. It is such a shame that the main female character (Nezuko) and the secondary main female character (Kanao) are both characters without much agency and don’t get any lines. This is my biggest problem with the series.

2. I liked the pacing of the story, however I would not have minded more story and detail. A lot of people say that it was rushed, and while I don’t disagree, it’s not the pacing that I dislike but instead that I just wanted more details. I feel like the author did write in all the important points, but I wouldn’t have minded more.

Overall, it was a good, quick read and I throughly enjoyed it.

Ok so the story as a whole is a 10/5 even if I gave a 3 star to some books they ARE a 5 just not as much of a 5 as others (idk if it makes sense). 
This story is one of the most amazing things I've read and it has made me incredibly happy since I started watching the anime (A month ago lmao). 
I think the thing I loved the most and what made this such a wonderful story to me was the characters; they are such amazing lovable characters with amazing backstories and motivations (really funny and heartwarming too), they feel really alive and I was able to connect and feel for them on a really deep level. Like not even just the main characters or the Demon Slayers were great characters, the Demons were incredible too and they were really well written. The world-building and the lore are mind-blowingly amazing too. I already think this is gonna be my favorite story of the year and I know that I'm gonna keep these characters in my heart forever. This was such a banger to start the year with!!!

this is the best manga i've read. please consider it reading. heads down to the author for incredible story ❤️❤️❤️

i can somewhat rationalise kimetsu no yaiba's unprecedented popularity in that it is a pretty straightforward shounen with a traditional japanese setting (even though the action itself is set at the beginning of the 20th century); its popularity was, of course, boosted by the gorgeous anime adaptation.

however, i found the plot somewhat slow at times and, then, rushed at the very end. while i think the series could have used another 100 chapters or so for proper build-up to the climax, i also find that this did not hinder its actual strengths - the atmosphere and the dynamic between tanjirou and nezuko.

kimetsu no yaiba begins on a winter night and throughout its duration it maintain this atmosphere - of a story told as you lay snuggled in blankets near the fire on a cold winter night. there is a fairy tale, a legendary quality to it. tanjirou and nezuko's relationship, around which the story is centred, only further strengthens this impression. in true fairy tale fashion, the siblings' love for and loyalty to each other is unwavering and remains the main theme of the series. 

i would recommend it if you are looking for the above qualities in a series or just for a pleasant loyal-to-the-genre shounen with wonderful art.

My heart is in so much pain and this series has left me aching and bruised. This has been such an incredible series full of love, bonds and found family. I wasn’t expecting to leave this series so hurt but in a 5 star way. After reading the rest of this series I have to say it’s been one of my favorite manga series of all time.
