This is extremely emotional to write. I started reading SNK when I was 16, I am now 24. The love and appreciation I hold for this series goes beyond words. During my teenage years these characters were my friends almost and I looked up to Hange Zoë a whole lot (still do). And now it's over, it's done, the story was told. I cried while reading the last chapter but cried even more after that because it's really hard to say goodbye.
I feel like my emotional attachment makes me way too biased to write an actual review, so I guess this is just written feelings. I am sad that it's over, but i'm extremely glad I decided to pick up the manga at 16. Some people say the journey itself matters more than the conclusion. They might be right, I'm not one to say since it depends a lot on the story itself. But, for me, the journey through all these years i'd never trade for anything. I read SNK at school, I read it at college, I read it at work; I took this story and it's characters with me for years and I suppose I can only say: thanks.
As I previously mentioned, this is not an actual review, it's simply me writing about how it was worth it and how i'd do it all over again. Thanks to the 104th survey corps, thanks to the veterans and thanks, Isayama, for creating something so special to me and others, it's been a truly beautiful journey that I will always carry in my heart.
