           Spy x Family, Volume 6 by Tatsuya Endo (2020) takes a break from some of the more intense plot threads of recent volumes. This one reprises some of the fun of Anya's dodgeball tournament in Volume Three (2020).

This time, though, the participants are adults: Loid Forger (Twilight) and Fiona Frost (Nightfall). Instead of it being dodgeball, the sport is tennis. But it's like no tennis game you or I have ever seen. Cheating is allowed. Mechanical aids are allowed. All of these things, though, are aimed at making sure the house wins.

reading such a heartwarming manga is indeed a nice escapism. i love them all <3 though the tennis thing is far too long for my liking (again, i HATE sport) but they all badass and nightfall is so pretty i might be in lawf <3

I've been really digging this series and I couldn't help but pick up the next addition to this heist. This series is proving to be a fun and wacky read full of thrills and comedy. It's exactly what I want it to be, to be brutally honest. Sometimes you just want to escape into a fun read. The illustrations also pack quite a punch and make the book enjoyable to look at. 

This time around we get to see an intriguing tennis match, some really "toned up" athletes, a potential love triangle (if we can call it that), a round of cheaters, a challenge of a lifetime, and a wicked heist. 

Some of this book makes me snicker. The play on words is good, whether it is intended or not. The "Foney" Couple. Definitely not the phony couple... And then the irony of that statement when we consider their relationship... Ah, good times. I can appreciate the humour. 

Overall, this series continues to be utterly sweet and quite funny. I absolutely love dipping into each mission and truly hope for more. I can't get enough of this series!

Another fun, action-filled, comedy installment of the Forger Family. Over-the-top, weird, and adorable. Nightfall is still obsessed with Twilight. The way the action scenes are drawn is really good. Anya does get some time in, too.

As much as I hate Nightfall for trying to usurp Yor as Loid's wife, I definitely appreciated the exploration of the dynamics between the three of them because they're all so clueless but all so aware at the same time. And poor Anya is just there listening to everyone's thoughts. 
That tennis scene? Haikyuu vibes to the max. I will never not find it funny when people are trying to kill/hurt other people and can't do it no matter how hard they try. Absolutely nothing is logical or makes sense but that doesn't mean that I don't love it.

Tout va se jouer lors d'un tournoi de tennis clandestin, dont l'issue pourrait bien remettre en cause la position de Yor au sein de la famille Forger. En effet, Noctuna s'est juré de prendre la place de fausse épouse de Twilight dans le cadre de l'opération " Strix ".
Consciente du danger qui la guette, Yor n'en éprouve pas moins des doutes sur son aptitude à jouer le rôle de Mme Forger. Dans le même temps, Twilight désespère de se rapprocher de sa cible, le dangereux et plus que jamais inatteignable Donovan Desmond...
