           An action, tragic, romance (?) novel's events experienced by our witty, funny and mighty unreliable narrator. It will make you laugh; it will also make you want to laugh and cry at the same time. The novel is a fantastic parody of it's own genre. The plot is sprinkled with generous amounts of satire, sarcasm and cliched tropes with (un)expected twists.

I'm rating this 4/5 absolutely for the number of times I laughed out loud and the character growth. I'd recommend if you can relate to the narrator: a lazy nerd with a taste for trashy novels. I wouldn't recommend it if unsubstantial world building, questionable relationship dynamics and flat action scenes bother you.

SQQ is one of best perspectives to read from. Not only is he an amazing main character, his reactions and responses do not fail to make you laugh out loud. His interactions with the System and the internal commentary are arguably the best part of the story. An embarrassing anecdote: It took me 30+ chapters to understand the connotation of his internet moniker.

Every side character adds to the story and there's no filler content! 

I will talk about chapter 80 and the ending as they have received mixed interpretations. I have 3 theories about the relationship:

1. It shouldn't be taken seriously. Our lovely MC is in a fictional world, going with the flow, doing what he can to survive. 

2. The pair was meant to have this questionable style of attachment, in which case I'm not appreciative of it. 

3. It's more complex than it seems. SQQ as I mentioned is not the most reliable narrator; he also tends to deflect and not address how he feels. He incessantly uses the word 'handsome' to describe LBH throughout and only comes in terms with how he feels after the Mausoleum arc. He is still not in a healthy headspace with respect to LBH as he doesn't see him as his own person, likely due to years of 'teaching' him. We finally see him do this in the last chapter where he lets LBH choose for himself. The second last chapter seems to contrast how the trope is usually shown in a less negative and more gratifying manner, but is actually painful. It shows SQQ putting himself at risk for LBH, unlike the first time where it was a gamble for his own life. We have an apologetic, regretful LBH. The relationship towards the end is one that has potential, it can grow into something more leveled. The last line, 'our story is just beginning' is meant to show this. 

The theme in the book is how everyone starts out as a clear cut persona but chooses to be different, thereby changing the story.

Compared to mdzs and tgcf,,, this was not as good as them but it was still very entertaining and so funny!
