I thoroughly enjoyed this book, was it the best? No but it is a quick and easy to read. 
This book was a bit predictable, I was able to guess who the killer was. 
I liked the main character, normally when we have a female protagonist in crime books they usually don’t show emotions because they have to been seen as ‘tough’. 
I did like that Linsey was emotional, and often cried especially when at crime scenes. Like it’s basic human nature. 

I am excited to see where Lindsey and the other girls takes us next.

This book was the very first mystery novel I've ever read! I had watched the series many years ago when it was on tv and I had absolutely loved it, so I had been wanting to read these for a while! I'm so very, very glad that I did. In my usual fashion I flew through this book in just one day!

I love Lindsay Boxer as a character. She's a hard-ass but she's also this sweet, delicate, worrisome woman. Her internal thoughts are very true to an actual woman's and that's something that you don't normally see when a male author is writing from a female's perspective. 

I enjoyed seeing things from the killer's eyes and trying to figure out who exactly the killer was throughout the entire book. I'll tell you this much... I had my killer picked out before I was a quarter of the way through the book, and I was waaaaaay wrong! I like that it gives you little clues as to who the killer is but doesn't actually give you enough that you ever find out the actual plot... until the epilogue! The foreshadowing in this is spot on.

The other characters of the Women's Murder Club (Claire, Jill, and Cindy) were not fleshed out as much as would have liked them to have been but I assume that there is more to come of that seeing as how there are currently eleven more books published of this series. I quite enjoyed Chris Raleigh as a character as well, though I'll admit I wasn't 100% sure if he was a good guy or a bad guy through most of the book, and I'm surely not going to tell you who he turned out to be!

The bad guys in this are waaaay bad. Like mentally deranged, crazy, super bad. And I loved it. Getting to see inside the brains of serial killers is a place that's nice to visit on a book vacation, but I definitely would not want to live there!

I am now officially sucked into this series. I have always been a fan of James Patterson but I think these books are my favorites by him. I love the concept of an all women murder group that is solving murders on the side. I love the story line and all the characters. I also love that I don't get bored while reading it which I tend to do sometimes with James Patterson novels. Great read and I can't wait to read all in the series.

I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this when I first went into it, I normally don't read many of this type of book. Holy cow was I wrong! I actually really enjoyed it, and the twist at the end I was NOT expecting! Absolutely ended up loving this one, a great start to a series and I cannot wait to read the next one!

So glad I decided to give Patterson another a chance. This book was so gripping, right from the start. A perfect thriller, with just the right amount of plot twists to keep you hooked on to it till the very end. Brilliant!
