Ms. Brashares lost some of her magic with this one. It failed the test. I wasn't invested in the characters or story line after 50 pages. That is too long for an adolescent, who should be the target audience. The end was heartfelt, so I'm glad I persevered, but I won't be keeping it for my classroom library.

At first, I was seriously counting the pages until the end(maybe because the beginning isn't as gripping, or maybe because I didn't really know who the main characters were), but I got attached by the end. As usual. I don't really know why I'm even surprised anymore. 
There used to be three friends: Polly, Jo and Ama, living in the same city as the infamous Sisterhood. But they kind of grew apart.
But it's okay, 'cause the thing that matters is that true friendship makes it through.

So: I REALLY HATE EFFIE SO MUCH. Seriously, I hated her from the very first book, but it just got accentuated(especially after the thing at the end of book4)
Also, I kinda found my own fourteen-year-old self again
Being a teen really sucked, man.
