If you find yourself thinking "naah" after reading a few chapters, just keep reading and that "naah" will turn into a "waah!". It was super refreshing to stumble upon this hidden gem packed with unexpected entertaining twists and turns.

Anyways, I was actually liking this book up until we got answers, but then the answers made me hate everything.

This is one of those books that don't make sense until the end. Points for a mlm romance, but loses points for having drastic changes in character's personality & behaviour for what seems like no reason. As someone in their late 20s, the super quick falling in love is kind of a turnoff. Interesting concept, but I had to slog through 400 pages of adolescent infatuation before there was any inkling of an explanation for what the heck was going on

I'm going to be honest and just say this book was not for me. I am not the audience for this type of book. When it comes to Shaun David Hutchinson's books, I find they are hit or miss for me. While I did enjoy the writing style, I was not a fan of the story itself. The plot just wasn't fun for me and I wasn't a fan of the setting.

"We Are The Ants", by the same author, is one of my favourite books, but this one was so disappointing... It felt like a draft that lacked editing and ended up being a confusing attempt at an idea, rather than a final product. I may also need to stop reading books starring high schoolers, as I really can't relate to any of the characters... A bad choice, overall 🙁
