A quick and easy read. Enjoyed the world building and the character growth. The banter between the FMC and MMC made me laugh out loud. Definitely worth the read!

This book sucked me in from the get-go and I couldn’t put it down! 

The characters, their banter, the world building and plot were all brilliantly written. 

This is my first read for Jenny Hickman but I will most certainly be continuing this series!

I was so mad at any of the scenes where Tadhg would go off with another woman. It made me hate his character a lot for a while because we saw him falling in love with Keelyn but he was still sleeping with other women. Later on, when the truth about his curse was revealed, it made me feel really bad for him. It gave me major Rhysand under the mountain with Amarantha vibes.

The book was very predictable and I usually knew what was going to happen. The only thing that really surprised me was the truth about Aveen. I am interested to read her story in book 2 and understand her more.

I also would like to learn more about the Phantom Queen. Because I don’t fully understand her character. 

This is the first retelling I’ve read that featured “true loves kiss” and I really liked that nod to beloved fairytales.
