Once again, this author has managed to pleasantly surprise me with her book. When I first started this, I didn't think I would like it. However, as I continued reading, I grew to love the main character and the other characters of the cast. I enjoyed it more than the first book in this series, especially because the relationship's progression seemed more natural. The main character and the love interest interacted with each other more than what happened in the first book. I was also very much intrigued by the expansion of world-building and Fae culture.

I liked this one a lot, I did guess the twist from pretty much the first chapter but I love the characters and the tenderness that they treat each other with :’) I enjoyed a deal with the elf king more but this one made definitely me want to read the rest in the series!

Although I love this world I found the book to be fairly predictable. It was a fast read though so I gave it a 3/5

The bar was set really high for this book and almost impossible to live up to my expectations, but I had a feeling what the plot might be from the beginning and I didn’t like being right. It’s definitely an okay book, and the illustrations on the cover and hidden cover are gorgeous but I won’t read it again

3.5 stars After they went to his world; it stopped giving what it was supposed to gave. He was an ass, she asked stupid questions; over all it was just really drawn out for no reason. It did not need to be 344 pages long, 250 at most 270 if we're pushing it. It would have been nice if we got a pov from Davien/Lord Fenwood but I was stuck in a time loop of Katria's ramblings.

Great concept, and love the tie-in of fairytales we all know and love, but the author tends to — with the books I’ve read by her — fall into similar grooves of writing and characters. Wish it felt different than her other books, but it doesn’t.

Ahh I feel like Elise Kova can do no wrong with writing. This book was amazing. A little repetitive with the Cinderella story but amazing none the less. I guessed who she was about halfway through and if people would just communicate then the issues that happened wouldn’t have happened. But this book is great

Overall a good and easy Cinderella-esque retelling that requires minimal mental commitment. Definitely preferred the story, characters, and relationship dynamic in this book as opposed to Deal with the Elf King.

This one actually didn’t really do it for me! Which was disappointing because of how much I love Elise Kova. I really liked the world building and the concept was cool, but the characters and plot fell a little flat for me. I just wanted Katria to do something, anything. Also I don’t think I know anything about the love interests. Tbh I cannot remember his name.

Katria was such a strong character, though she did make some odd decisions at times - never following the rules. Davien was hard to like at first but he grew on me after a while. I enjoyed the story between these two characters, watching them slowly fall for each other. Following their hearts instead of their brains. It was nice to see more of this world, though I wish there had been some crossover with the first book. I'm hoping I will get some interaction between all the characters thus far in a later book in the series. The ending felt super rushed, the big reveal at the end should have had a little more resolution after the fact. But it felt like once something big happened, they just moved onto the close of the story, which was jarring. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the book.

When I started the book I thought it was going in one direction and then it went The other way. Which was good. Because I REALLY REALLY REALLY liked it. Then end.

I loved this book. I loved the mention of our faves Luella and her man adored that little part okay. Katria and Davien! Loved them so much. I don’t think Elise Kova can ever write a bad fantasy book of hers I adored this again. I love the world of Midscape and how each realm is someone different. The action scenes in this as well absolutely brilliant. I love how Katria stood up to her step mother in the end as well never underestimate anyone I think is the lesson there. Gave me Cinderella and The Cruel Princes vibes as well so if you like those, you’ll love this!

Nice, light, easy read, but I actually didn’t like the plot of this one as much as the first book in this world - just a personal preference. There was a point with the MMC where he was hot then cold and back without a lot of reason… Again this book could have used another editor pass - caught plenty of errors and awkward sentences. But definitely enjoyed and will probably continue with the rest of the Married to Magic series. Will say the bonus scenes for both of these have been pretty cute. :)

I absolutely loved this!! And I wish it wasn't a standalone! In the middle it did get a bit slow but it quickly got better with the addition of smut and the plot thickened quite a bit. I loved the ending and I think it is a really good, fantasy, romance smutty book -with a plot, book!

"My every thought returns to you. You are like a whirlwind, down and down I spin, every time, until I'm caught in your center. Now I know there is only one way to escape." "And how is that?" "To give in, to stop fighting, and see where you take me." I finished A Dance with the Fae Prince last night and really enjoyed this wonderful NA fantasy. New Adult Fantasy Romance is a underrated genre that I am LOVING more and more as it becomes available. Read if you are looking for: - a slow burn romance -Cinderella retelling -Fae and other magical creatures -a quick and easy Romantasy ❤️ -a grumpy Lord of the house -a stand-alone What I missed: The beginning of this story with the Lord was what pulled me in, and honestly I missed that setting the farther the book went along. The ending was predictable so I found myself a bit underwhelmed compared to the excitement at the start. Overall still a fantastic fae/royalty romance! Rating: Story- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Characters- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre- NA, Romance/Fantasy Steam- there’s a little fire to keep you warm 🔥 Song- Close by Nick Jonas

I enjoyed this one just as much as the first. I will say that I wanted a bit more from the ending. But other than that I love that these are standalone fantasy romances. 4 out of 5 stars

📖Katria swore she would never fall in love. She saw what "love" means through the cruelty of her family. When the mysterious Lord Fenwood asks for her hand in marriage all she wants Katria is a better life than the one she's leaving. As their attraction begins to grow, so do her quirks within her new life: strange rules, screams in the night, and fae attacks that she Katria never thought were real. When witnessing a ritual not meant for human eyes, Katria will have to survive not only as a human because she accidentally stole the magic of ancient kings - magic whereby a bloodthirsty king is ready to kill her to keep her stolen throne - and her new husband is the hidden legitimate heir.

I really enjoyed reading this, I don't remember the first book all the latest well as I've read so many since but I do feel like this one gets into the action a lot faster. There were one or two scenes I felt not important however that's really it. That being said I loved the world, the magic, the characters and the plot. I loved out main character Katria and loved how her character grew through the book. There was so many moments in this book that I loved. What kept it from being a five star was I felt there were certain screens that were just not needed and it could have been a little better. But that being said I really loved and enjoyed reading this one. The ending was really good and I plan to Co once the series when it comes out. But let me just say omg this cover is goirgouse.
