Unhinged was yet another lovely novel by AG Howard! I wasn't instantly hooked on this novel like I was the first one, but it was still an incredible read! I loved revisiting Morpheus, Jeb and Alyssa yet again! I will be honest, I didn't like that a lot of this story did not take place in Wonderland. With it taking place in the "real world", it left me feeling cheated and bored. The plot moved fast and it was full of adventure, but the lack of Wonderland made it appear to be boring! Overall, I loved it! But I hope the next novel takes place in Wonderland even more! And that Alyssa finally chooses between Jeb and Morpheus (I hope Morpheus! <3). Five out of five stars!

Holy mother of Wonderland, how do I even begin to describe the madness that is Unhinged. The first book was amazing at dipping my toes into the Wonderland waters, but Unhinged dives head first into beautifully creepy territory. This book starts a year after the events of the last book with Al and Jeb finally together in real life. But a certain blue glowing moth is waiting in the wings and things get really serious when Morpheus comes back into Alyssa's life. Wonderland is crumbling because of Red's escape and only Al can finish the job. But my gosh does she hesitate. I love her dearly and she is perhaps one of my favorite heroines in a long time, but I want her to just suck it up and become who she truly is! (You can see how biased I am here. I like girls with power.) Al is complex and throughout the book has her heart divided in more ways than one. Her netherling side is itching to be let loose, but her human side keeps her grounded (literally). Also, I though the first book was a bit creepy, but this one is 10x creepier and I LOVED it. It's eerie and gritty and A.G. Howard did a phenomenal job. The ending left me with my mouth open and wondering what the hell just happened?!

Morpheus....I love him....I hate him.....Jeb....just simply love. What interesting characters Mom and Dad are turning out to be. Fantastic complex character developments for all in this book. Leaving me gasping in the end wanting more....more....more!

GAHHHH!! So, this book is based off of Alice in Wonderland. However, it doesn't feel like a rip off. With a new and darker spin on the tale, the Splintered series takes you on a wonderful ride through vivid landscapes and awesome escapades! There are interesting and wonderful characters, who get much more backstory and understanding in this novel!! I don't feel like validating my review with rating numbers, so here's some more gifs.

It was so addicting! I loved it!

4.5

I am very not okay. It is nearly 1 am and I want to but also am afraid to read the next book. I actually cried. I am not okay. I am definitely not okay. My heart is broken and I don't know how to feel anymore. This hurt my heart more than words. I'm not letting the next one out of my hands ever it shall forever be a part of me and I am not being dramatic.

Omg!! I love this book just as much as I loved Splintered . I just couldn't put this down and I didn't want to put it down. Only bad thing is this book ended and now I gave to wait for the third book in this series :( oh well, I guess I will have to read Splintered and Unhinged again before the third book comes out . I highly recommend this series.

Holy Crap! I need the next book.

Audiobook Review: It all starts with the love for a book cover. I fell in love with Splintered at first sight and knew I just had to read it. It ended up being one of my very favorite books last year. So of course when I saw the gorgeous cover displaying Morpheus, I knew this one would have a special place on my shelf right next to Splintered. Unlike in Splintered, which took place mostly in Wonderland, Unhinged takes place in the normal world. I went into reading this without reading the synopsis, as usual, and I was honestly a bit saddened around the halfway mark when I still hadn’t received my expected dosage of Wonderland. I understand why Alyssa doesn’t want anything to do with Wonderland, but I held out hope until the bitter end that we would get some Wonderland action. A.G. Howard’s writing style is simply outstanding. Though the story of Unhinged wasn’t quite as entertaining to me as Splintered, I was entirely impressed with the continued incredible writing. The descriptions and creativity is remarkable. It just blows my mind how authors such as A.G. Howard can possibly think up the detail included in their stories. It’s a real talent, one I wholly respect and admire. I’m looking forward to Ensnared, which appears to be taking place more in Wonderland. Bring on that beloved world of awesome! I have no words on how wonderful this book is. It is dark, morbid, romantic, adventurous, and just all around entertaining. I might even go so far as to say that it is better than Splintered which is a big accomplishment since I loooooved Splintered. Everyone must read this series, defiantly the best retelling I have ever read. Full review to come closer to release date!!!!

Blog | Twitter | Instagram | Full review/potential spoilers alert: http://bookgirl.co.vu/post/7697687550... As most know by now Splintered was the book of 2013 for me and became one of my favorite novels featured in the young adult genre. Being somebody who grew up obsessed with any and all things Wonderland, I was very much so drawn to the first in this series due to its take on the world many of us know so well. But my love for Wonderland wasn't what kept me interested in the series: it was the fantastic world that A.G Howard creates for us that kept me reading. A.G Howard’s dark take on this tale is something incredibly fascinating and unique, it draws you in from the start and once you’re drawn in, you’re here to stay. At the very top of this novel the words “Wonderland Was Just the Beginning" greet you — and truer words have never been spoken. What we came to see in Splintered was just the start to the story and what we thought we knew, may not be. There are many plot twists that will keep you on edge and wanting more. And what can I say? I love, love, LOVE this series. Can we have the next book now? Please? Like, right now? *bats eyelashes*
