This book is not really a good crossover to the adult fiction world. It's written in fairly basic language. That's not to discount the serious themes; the book is simply, well, simple.

I don't think my review's going to be particularity fair, because this is a class read and having someone force me to read a book is such a turn-off. This book wasn't bad at all, but it's not something that I'm going to remember in a year, and I have a great memory when it comes to books.

I expected more out of this book. Many have talked about this book, raved about the book, yet I did not see what they saw.
That does not mean that this is a bad book. However, the book simply lacked any sense of depth, which unfortunately, many biographies, even fictionalized ones, tend to struggle with.
I think this is a good easy read but not one that I would rave about.
