A Scandal in Bohemia
Penguin Readers is a series of simplified novels, film novelizations and original titles that introduce students at all levels to the pleasures of reading in English. Originally designed for teaching English as a foreign language, the series' combination of high interest level and low reading age makes it suitable for both English-speaking teenagers with limited reading skills and students of English as a second language. Many titles in the series also provide access to the pre-20th century literature strands of the National Curriculum English Orders.

Irene was certainly a breath of fresh air. I'm just glad someone has finally been able to surprise Sherlock and bring his confidence down a notch.

This was my first time actually reading a Sherlock Holmes story, after watching the fantastic BBC serie with the amazing Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. As for the review: I thoroughly enjoyed the story, despite it being quite a quick read for me. I loved the dialogues, though there was quite a lot of back-and-forth that you did have to pay attention to not lose track of who was saying what. Nevertheless, I will definitely try to read more of Doyle's work!

Pretty good and short. Ends really fast. Holmes is duped!
