If I Loved You Less

"Beloved Humaira, I will be a fool for you a thousand times over."

I should be getting a medal of patience for getting through the first 50% of the book because I can swear that Humaira was so annoying in the beginning. It took a lot of time for her to grow on me. But Fawad? Goodness, I think he has been my favourite character since day one. 

The retelling of Emma in a South Asian society was so perfect, I enjoyed the Muslim family dynamics since it isn't typical in most of the romcoms to have a full fledged Muslim cast. There was so much tension between Fawad and Humaira but it was mostly ruined by either her being ignorant or in denial. The dialogues didn't fit much either because I, for the love of my life, can't see people speaking as if they're in a period drama. 

Did I get the urge to dnf? Straight at 20%. Did I like it? After 75%. Would I recommend it to anyone? I'm not sure about that since I really enjoyed the last 25%
